Claude by Anthropic

A ChatGPT-like AI assistant named Claude has been unveiled by Anthropic, an AI business created by former OpenAI staffers. This new AI model is distinct in its architecture and underlying technique, based on Anthropic’s study on constitutional AI, even though it shares a similar design with OpenAI’s GPT-3. There are two versions of Claude: Claude-v1, intended for complex dialogue and creative work, and Claude Instant, intended for conversational exchanges, text analysis, and Q&A. The fact that Claude can outperform many people on a law and economics exam is one of his outstanding accomplishments. While Claude and ChatGPT both use reinforcement learning, Anthropic takes a different route when creating preference models.
