In order to compete with ChatGPT, Deepmind, a well-known AI research organisation, is releasing “Sparrow. Demis Hassabis, the CEO of Sparrow, is expected to lead the company into private beta” soon. Historically, Google’s consumer goods have used Deepmind’s inventions. Sparrow gets its power from the Chinchilla language model, which has outperformed GPT-3 in benchmark language tests despite having fewer parameters than some of OpenAI’s models.
Despite the fact that ChatGPT uses the more recent GPT-3.5, there is anticipation that Sparrow will be able to match or even outperform ChatGPT’s performance. This assurance is strengthened even further by Google’s arsenal of durable language models, including PaLM.
